★ Distance with friends, a boyfriend or a girlfriend.

We often say the word “Ochikazukini naru” for close relationship in Japan.
“Ochikazuki” means close and “naru” is become.

When you like someone, you try to get closer to the person.
But once you hate him or her, you will make a distance from him or her.

People who love each other will get closer immediately.
But if a person is only for business, people keep a certain distance.

This distance is an unconscious behavior.

The space would tell us that how close your relationship is.

Cultural anthropologist's Edward Hall discovered a pattern of "Distance and interpersonal relationship” based on "Interview and observation".


●Space (0 to 45 cm)
It is called an intimate space in psychological term which close enough to touch each other’s body.
This is the relations between families and lover.

●Space (45 to 120cm)
The distance between two people is 45cm to 120cm.
you can touch each other by reaching their arms when two people face each other.
It is called the personal space.
It is found relationship with friends.

●Space (120 to 360cm)
When two people have 120-360 cm distances, and they can touch each other by their hands.
It is called the social space.

When you have business meeting, how do you make the distance shorter from social distance to individual distance?

It is the best part of sales to seek "Lasting charms and problems".

It does not work if you are an employee of a company which forces you to follow its manual.
